30th birthday camp badges
Commission: a set of sweet and simple badges based around typical camping activities. Created for a friend’s 30th birthday celebrations in 2021.

incentive system icons
Developed in-house for sub-10, these coin designs are part of an incentive system encouraging users to engage with learning content. The designs needed to be flexible enough to expand with the content library, simple enough to reproduce at scale, but also interesting enough to make them feel special. I studied incentives used within a number of games and other learning systems as part of my research for this project.
I suggested a number of different icon styles — such as gems or stamps — before coins were finally chosen.
Initial gem-style designs. These were rejected for being too frivolous, and making everyone think of Sonic the Hedgehog.
My favourite designs were the stamps, I think they felt special and offered something a bit different to the usual.

As part of the development of this incentive system I created UI mockups for the platform, as the functionality was still being built.
I also made a fun little animation to appear when a user is awarded one!

Icons designed whilst employed by education publisher GCSEPod, appearing on the updated content navigation system on their subscriber site.
Learning content design
Whilst employed at education publisher GCSEPod, my primary job role was to lead a team of designers in creating animated video content for 28 GCSE subjects. The assets we produced were a mixture of vector illustration, photography and digital painting.
